Tom has over 35 years of experience as a practicing attorney and business advisor. For many years, Tom served as the President of the St. Louis law firm Suelthaus & Walsh, P.C. and as Chairman of its Corporate, Business and Securities Department. He advised publicly and privately held companies on corporate and securities matters including corporate governance, capital raises, regulatory matters, governmental affairs, reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. This included work with a number of financial institutions. In 2004 Tom joined Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal (now a part of Denton's - the largest law firm in the world) as a Partner. He retired from that firm to pursue a more business focused career.
In addition to practicing law, Tom has advised many companies on business matters assisting them with business and strategic planning, capital raises and transactions. Tom has been a co-founder and investor in a number of venture capital and angel backed companies. He is one of the founding members of the St Louis Arch Angels, which has provided significant capital and assistance to emerging growth companies.
Tom earned his B.A from Wabash College in 1973 and his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1976. Tom is a member of the Board of Trustees at Wabash College.
